It’s very hard to find a good place in my city to study car design. Luckily, I found one. It is a university in New York. It teaches students something about the design of all types of transportation. After finishing high school, I planned to go there.

What do I need to get ready for this university? I need to study art, physics and math well. I also need to be good at drawing. I like drawing, but it’s not my favorite hobby. I think I’ll have to be good at it if I want to be a car engineer.

Other countries used salt, tobacco, tea or stones. Today there are stills some places in the world that do not use paper money. One place is the island of Yap in the Pacific Ocean.

On the island of Yap, people use the heavist money in the world —Yap stones. These are round, white stones with a hole in the middle. The Yap stones do not originate from the island. The Yap men have to go to the islands four hundred miles away to fetch them. Big stones can be twelve feet high — as big as two tall men. Small stones are as big as a dinner plate.

In North America, most students go to school by bus. The subway is also widely used in some cities. In small towns and cities, walking is still popular.

The yellow school bus is a familiar sight all over North America. It is a very convenient form of transportation because it takes students right to the entrance to the school. It also gives students opportunity to chat with their friends. However, the bus is slow and does not always pick up on time.

The subway is a means of getting around quickly in many cities. However, it is expensive and can be very crowded during rush hour. Another disadvantage of the subway is that the stops are not so close to the school, and students ofetn have to walk considerable(相当大的) distance or take a bus from the subway stop to the school
