Dear Editor,

I am Li Hua, a high school student. I am writing to express my thanks and admiration for my teachers’ and schoolmates’ actions of goodwill, and appeal to more people to learn from them.

In January , the weather was freezing cold and a snowstorm swept our city. The thick snow and the icy ground made it hard for us to get around. To ensure our safety, some of my teachers and schoolmates offered to shovel ice, sweep snow and lay non-slip mats along the corridors. Even though they were tired out, they were happy to be able to give a hand to people around.

Their kindness has received a lot of praise and recognition. They do set a good example to us . I think we should learn from them and volunteer to do something beneficial to others.
