As for Confucius, he is also my favorite figure in the ancient Chinese history. He was a Chinese thinker and social philosopher, who lived in the ancient China where states were often at war with each other. His teachings and philosophy have deeply influenced many Asian countries.

He stressed the importance of kindness, duty and order in society.

We Chinese are greatly influenced by his teachings. In fact, one of his sentences impressed me a lot. He said we should treat others the way we want to be treated. He inspires me to always be kind and polite，because that’s how I would like to be treated.
