1.on-in 2.去掉the 3.happy- happily 4.graduate- graduated 5.study- studied 6.it-them 7.winned-won 8.listening- listening to 9.stamp- stamps 10.is-are 【解析】 试题分析:本题考查短文改错。 1. province on February 1995,此处介词搭配错误,在具体的某年某月某日前用on,而其他表示泛指的时间前用in,此处未具体到哪一天应用in。故on-in 2. started the school in 2001 when I was six.,the表示特指,表示的是特指某某学校,一般是前文有所指的时候才用,而此处是开始上学,指的是一般的情况,并未特指上的是哪一个学校,故去掉the 3. studied happy in Guangming Primary School ,study为动词,而happy为形容词,形容词不能修饰动词,只有副词才可以修饰动词,故happy- happily 4. that I went to No. 39 Middle School of Qingdao and graduate last summer.本句为and的并列句,前后时态应保持一致,前句时态为一般过去式,后句也应是过去式,故graduate- graduated 5. main subjects I study at schoo1,该句是承接的上文,描述的是过去的事情,应用过去式,故study- studied 6. like English and computer best and I am very good at it ,前面提到了两个主体英语和电脑,代词应该代替的是两个东西,应用他们,故it-them 7. year I winned first prize in the school computer competition.,此句用的是过去式,但是win的过去式不是winned 而是won,故winned-won 8. enjoy listening popular music ,listen to…是固定短语,表示听….此处表示我喜欢听流行音乐,故listening- listening to 9. collecting stamp ,stamp为可数名词,前面无限定词时,应用复数形式,故stamp- stamps 10. favourite sports is swimming in summer and skating in winter.宾语为两个主体游泳和滑冰,谓语动词应用复数,故is-are 考点:考查时态、词形变换、介词搭配等

You can set a budget for your time just as you can set a budget for your money. Since you’re trying to reduce worry rather than increase it,go into this process with a focus on maximizing(使…最大化)your personal time, rather than cramming(塞满) as much as you can into each day.

Set a sleep schedule 1. Give yourself a one-hour target window for bedtime in the evening, and set a strict time to get up in the morning.Be sure that the space between your bedtime and the start of your day gives you roughly an hour more than the amount of sleep you actually need.2.

●Take care of tasks at the same time every day. Plan time for daily health care, commuting(乘公交下上班),work, shopping, eating, and chores(家务).Add in time for anything else you do most days, such as homework, exercise,or an active hobby. 3.All the time left over is your free time,to use for relaxation or whatever else you want.

   4. For example, you might plan to go, dropping on your way home from work, to save the extra trip

For many people,an irregular work schedule make this kind of budgeting difficult.5.

B.Stick to it,even on weekends

C.Try to combine trips outside the home to maximize your free time

D.Different days call for different approaches.

G.Put them in a specific order that works for you

A good deal of fascinating research has been done about the reading patterns of young people, and it is surprising to discover at what an early age children start expressing preferences for particular kind of books. A recent report, which examined in detail the reading habits of primary-school children.showed that even seven-year-old boys and girls have clear views about what they want to read. Girls,in general, read more, and far more girls than boys preferred reading stories. Boys were showing a taste for the more instant appeal of picture stories,or else books about their hobbies.

These tastes continue unchanged until the children are teenagers. Apparently girls read more in general, but more fiction in particular .You could say that there are more opportunities for girls to read fiction:magazines encourage the fiction habit in girls in their early teens, and by their late teens they have probably moved on to the adult women’s magazines.Teenage boys tend to buy magazines about their hobbies:motorcycles, heavy transport and to on.

Adult reading tastes are also the subject of research.Again the number of women who read for pleasure is considerably higher than the number of men. It seems that the majority of women still want love stories. There has also been some analysis of what men actually read Apparently only 38 percent of men read anything, but 50 percent of what they read is fiction in the form of action-packed(内容丰富有趣的)stories of space or gunmen

In a computer age,a broadband Internet connection is very popular now.Whether cable or mobile broadband, today’s connections are many times faster than those in the early days. Videos play smoothly, complex websites load quickly, and files download much faster than ten years ago.And the files are much bigger too.

There’s a hidden problem:You have to live near enough to a major city to get broadband Internet. If you don’t,it's slow dial-up access for you. And for those living really far out, there may be no Internet access at a11.

Technology experts often talk about the “last mile” problem, which refers to the difficulty of bringing Internet access to remote locations. In cities and suburbs(郊区),it's relatively easy to provide access for everyone. It is much more difficult to deliver access to those living far from cities, especially in developing countries.Internet service providers.for their part, have been reluctant to provide access to sparsely(稀疏地)populated areas. The handful of Internet users they would reach wouldn’t cover the expense.

But every year, technological advancements allow of more and more Internet users. Most broadband connections today run over existing cable TV and telephone lines although these technologies aren’t available everywhere.

Some companies have delivered the Internet over standard power lines. Advancements in cheaper more efficient fiber optics cables(光纤电缆)promise to bring extremely fast Internet connections to more users.Still.the“last mile”problem remains hard to deal with. There will always be somewhere that doesn’t have an affordable broadband connection. But someday that might not matter. If the rapid progress in cell phone technology is any indication,it may not be too long before an Internet connection simply follows you wherever you go.

1. Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage?

A.Internet connections have been popular everywhere.

B.Internet service providers are willing to care about rural(农村的)customers.

C. The problem of Internet access hasn’t been completely dealt with

D. Computer can’t become popular in developing countries.

2.Paragraph 4 mainly tells us that technological advancements_______.

A.make TV and telephone available everywhere

B.bring great change to people’s everyday life

C. bring faster Internet connections to users

D. make it possible for more people to use the Internet

3.What may eventually settle the“last mile”problem?

A. The broadband connection’s getting faster.

B.The rapid progress in cell phone technology.

C.More and more Internet connections.

D.  More and more Internet users

4.The best title for this passage may be________.

A.Internet Connection Problems

B.Internet Connections Need Improving
