Kenyon Scudder once told me a story about his friend, Michael. Michael happened to be on a train sitting next to a young man who seemed worried. Finally the young man told the friend that he was a convict (罪犯) returning home from a prison far away. He hoped, however, that this was only because they were too poor to travel and too busy to write.

In a minute, Michael put his hand on the young convict’s shoulder. "There it is," he said, his eyes filled with sudden tears. "It’s all right. The whole tree is white with ribbons."

Once an Englishman named Larry Belmont went to Russia for a holiday. They came nearer again, and then I shot another one of them, and the others stopped once more to eat it. The same thing happened again, and my horses became more and more tired and ran slower and slower until, after two hours, only one wolf was still alive and following me.”

One of the most important things in the world is friendship. In order to have friends, you have to be a friend. But how can you be a good friend at school?

Sometimes I am out of control, but if you can’t stay with me at my worst, you are sure not to deserve(应受、值得) to be with me at my best.” Always remember this! If you don’t want to stay with your friends when they’re in hard times, then you don’t deserve to be with them when they’re having a good time!
