Drivers are warned that it is dangerous ...

Drivers are warned that it is dangerous to talk on the phone while________.

A.drive   B.drivingC.drove   D.to drive

B 【解析】考查状语从句的省略/非谓语作状语。状语从句省略的两个必要条件:1,主从句的主语指代同一人/物;2,从句谓语中含有be. 补全该句后为“Drivers are warned that it is dangerous to talk on the phone while they are driving”,显然该句满足状语从句的省略条件,所以状语部分可以为while driving;也可理解为非谓语作状语,该处连词while加强状语与句子之间的逻辑关系,因为drive与其逻辑主语Drivers之间是主动关系,且表示与谓语同时进行,故用driving,所以正确答案为B. 考点:状语从句的省略/非谓语作状语
