Tom is a naughty boy. He likes to play tricks on others. He knows that his father needs an alarm clock to wake him up at 6:30 every morning, so one morning, he decided to play a trick on him. He got up at 6:20 and slipped into the bedroom of his parents, who were still sleeping soundly. He took away the clock from the bedside table, and put a cactus there instead. He stood beside the bed, waiting for the clock to ring. At 6:30, the clock went off and woke up his father. His father, who did not open his eyes, reached out his hand to switch off the clock. But he touched the prickly cactus and let out a loud cry of pain. You can imagine his father’s pain, and great anger when he realized what happened!
