From the Beijing West Railway Station to Beijing Daxing International Airport, a section of the intercity (城市间) railway connects Beijing with Xiong’an New Area together. It was put into operation (投入运营) on Thursday.
It starts from Beijing West Railway Station, the busiest railway station in the capital, and ends at Daxing Airport, according to the China State Railway Group. The first train, C2701, left at 6:56 a.m. and stopped at 7:26 at Daxing Airport, which went into operation on Wednesday.
The high-speed train with eight carriages (客车箱) is able to carry more than 1,100 passengers. It costs 30 yuan for second-class carriages, 48 yuan for first-class and 90 yuan for business-class at usual prices.
