Hello, everyone. Today, I'm glad to share something about me.
Friendship between animals sometimes seems stronger than that between men. In France, a man had to move to a new place. He had a dog and a cat, and 他爱他们两个。But he thought that the cat would like to stay in the same house with new owners. So he moved and took only the dog.
About three weeks later, the dog was suddenly lost. For several days, the man looked for his dog, but didn't find him. Then, seven weeks later, the dog came back but he was not alone. The cat was by his side. They were tired and hungry after their long trip. And they never left each other again.
Another story is about goldfish. We usually think fish are cold-hearted, but sometimes we may be wrong. 一个朋友得去另一个国家去工作。 So I took her pet goldfish and put it in a bowl with mine. They two lived together for six months. When the friend came back, she tookher fish home. Then, I found my goldfish act differently. It hit on the side of the bowl. The next morning he died. Later that day, my friend called to say that her goldfish died, too. Did they die becausethey were sad? I believe so.

What kind of foreign goods ( 外国货) does your family own? They might be your mom's cosmetics ( 化妆品), your dad's car and your food. That's a lot! Why do we need to buy these things? Is it because we don't have them in China? There are many reasons. We buy things from other countries. Other countries also buy things from us. We help each other.
Every year, China buys a large number of goods from other countries. We call them imported goods (进口商品). China is the world's second-largest importer. Imported goods are a big part of our lives. They changed our lives. They changed the way we eat, drink and play.
Coca-cola came to China in 1979. Some people did not like it because it tasted like Chinese medicine. But soon they accepted it and came to love it.
In 1979, Chinese people could buy Panasonic TV sets. At that time, TV was just black and white. But people liked to get together and watch it after work.
The first KFC in China opened in Beijing in 1987. It was very expensive then. People could only order chicken nuggets (鸡块), mashed potatoes (土豆泥), salad and bread.
Starbucks came to China in 1999. A cup of coffee cost about 20 yuan. From then on, more people began to enjoy drinking coffee and spend time in coffee shops.

People in Britain celebrate Halloween on October 31st. This isn't a holiday though. 1.Orange is related (有关于) to harvests because the end of October is the end of the harvest. Black is related to death. Pumpkin lanterns are everywhere on Halloween. People take the inside part out of pumpkins and cut eyes, mouth and a nose on one side. 2.The candlelight (烛光) creates a scary face effect. In the past people used potatoes to make lanterns, but today people use pumpkins. They are easier to cut and people can buy them in supermarkets. People use pumpkin lanterns to decorate (装饰) their homes. People of different age usually dress up on Halloween. Young children usually go trick or treat with parents or an older brother or sister. Children dress up and then visit the houses in their neighborhood asking for a "trick or treat". 3.If there is no treat, the children play a trick on the neighbor. They can play different tricks on the neighbor. 4.People think that playing tricks is unkind but luckily there is nearly always a treat. The police in some parts of Britain give out "No trick or treat, please!" posters ( 海 报 ). People can put the posters on their door if they don't want to join in.
A.The neighbor gives them sweets as a "treat".
B.They put a candle inside the pumpkin.
C.Halloween colors are orange and black.
D.Some people are not afraid of the tricks.
