High-speed railways, Alipay, shared bikes and online payment are seen as the new four great achievements of China by young foreigners, according to a video survey by the Silk Road Research Institute of Beijing Foreign Studies University. In the video, young people from 20 countries along Belt and Road Routes were asked to name great achievements that had influenced their lives in China. Teach your child about safety.
When you teach safety rules to your little child, it will help if you provide clear reasons for the rules. Try to help your four-year-old child understand that these rules are not used to spoil his fun, but to keep him safe. The fairer your rules seem to your child, the more likely he is to follow them.
Try to avoid scaring them. The reason why you don’t want your child to climb up onto the top of the tree is not “You’ll fall off the tree and break your neck and die”. but “If you do fall off the tree, you’ll get hurt.” If you exaggerate possible dangers, your child will not believe that your rule is serious.
When your child doesn’t follow your safety rules, you need to make him see that unsafe behavior is dangerous. If your child runs out into the street, you should immediately pull him back, repeat your rules, explain your rules and warm him not to do it again.
If your child then repeats the unsafe behavior, you should let him know the connection between his action and the results. In the example above, you might make him come back right away. “I told you that you can’t run in the street. It’s not safe. If you can’t play outside safely, you can’t play outside.”
If your safety rules seem fair to your child, he will probably be ready to follow them and even accept them as his own rules. And they will gradually become his safety habits and part of his developing consciousness.

A.Treat. B.Stop. C.Connect. D.Refuse.
2.What should we say to a child if he climbs up onto the top of the tree?

C.You may break your neck. D.You may fall off the tree and get hurt.
3.According to the passage, what should safety rules be?
A.Reasonable B.Safe C.Smart D.Helpful
4.Which of the following is TRUE?
A.Parents should set a good example.
B.Children are more likely to get hurt.
C.Parents shouldn’t exaggerate possible dangers.
D.Children are not allowed to play outside alone.
5.Who is this passage written for?
A.Writers. B.Children. C.Teachers. D.Parents.

More importantly, t4. the eyes of Tom Sawyer, Twain c5. makes fun of US culture. For example, Tom hates going to church, and Twain uses scenes of Tom there to make fun of religion(宗教) and its old traditions.

In our daily lives many people always have negative thoughts. Being in a negative space is harmful to our life and study. If you keep them in mind, you will lose hope sooner or later. Let’s drive away some of the most common negative thoughts.
No one cares about me.
Sometimes you say that your family and friends don’t care about you. Maybe you are too negative and misunderstand the gestures of love they show you. They don’t have to be big gestures, but there are many countless little things they do for you. Maybe you just pay no attention to them and take them as granted. Perhaps you think they don’t care about you so you don’t make any effort in your relationships. Start showing people you care, so they can show you back in the same way. And if you don’t have good relationships wit the people you know, what’s stopping you from making new friends?
Why is she better off?
Comparing yourself to someone else is never positive. There’s always going to be someone who is younger, prettier, smarter, or richer than you. If you keep admiring what someone else has, then this may cause you to lose the balance in your mind, which will open a whole other negative can of worms. Remember, what they don’t have is your whole package. Be proud of what you have, because if you want to play the comparison game, remember that there are people who are also worse off than you are.
I’ll never reach my goal.
If you think you’re not going to be able to “get there”, think again. There are many people who are worse off and have overcome more difficulty than what you are facing.
Everything is within your reach as long as you work hard and have a positive attitude.
