    Esther Snader, a retired (退休的)foreign teacher, said it was hard to have the Chinese university she had taught at for more than 19 years. However, leaving her books to the university was an easy thing.

Snader arrived at the university in Anhui in 1998. When she began working at the university, she taught English. Later, she also taught US history and culture. However, she found the students there didn't have many English books to read.

“I had already taught for 25 years before I came to China. I understand how important and helpful it is to read books,” Snader said.
