A little time to spare for cats? Across North Sheffield, there are thousands of stray cats(流浪猫). These cats need temporary(临时的)homes until they find their forever families. Many of them are cared for by volunteers in their homes. Most of our volunteers care for one or two cats at a time. They also help find new homes for these cats. A product has sold very well at Lawson(罗森)stores in Nanjing. It allows buyers to pay electricity bills(电费单) for seniors(老人) living in China's poor and faraway areas.
The package, which looks like a snack, has a ________ and brief introduction of a senior on it. It also _______a QR code(二维码) for people to scan and pay at least 2 to 3 yuan with their mobile phones.
Mao Jiashu, a college student in Nanjing, _________this idea when she visited Inner Mongolia in 2018.
“I noticed that it was difficult for some seniors to pay their electricity bills _________they didn’t know how to pay online. Sometimes they could not walk the long way to pay in time, so the electricity was__________,” she said. “So I decided to do something to help them and make people know more about their_________ .”
More than 120 packages were sold on the first day at a store in Xinjiekou area, and 72 people paid the electricity bills.
Each package, with no real food inside, includes a piece of paper with a message. Written by an________person, the message expresses feelings about life and other things they want to tell the public.
