In the last century, differnet natural disasters have robbed several cultural heritage(遗产) from us. On WeChat, some people say, “What a pity that we cannot see the damaged parts of the wonders anymore.” But people can see them in a new way---through a video game. In this game, the player can travel to one city after another and enter the buildings exactly like they are in reality, and see the wonders as they were before the fire.
Maybe digital technology(数字技术) could help protect cultural heritage better. This idea dates back to the 1990s and the necessary technology has continued to develop since then. By scanning(扫 描) the ancient buildings, building 3D models, as well as measuring everything, engineers can make a copy exactly as the real one.
As computers and smart phones are popular, the digital copy has great value. First, it allows tourists to feel the cultural heritage without touching them, which helps protect them. The virtual tour of Dunhuang Grottoes(敦煌石窟) is a good example of this as tourists can view the paintings without standing near them.
Second, it can make the cultural heritage more famous by spreading information about them through the internet. In 2000, a virtual tour of the Dunhuang Grottoes became very popular at the Hannover World Expo, which increased the number of foreign tourists visiting the site in the following years.
Last, it stores all the information of the cultural heritage. Even if the real ones are damaged one day, people can still know what they were like and can build a new one if wanted. Of course, however exact a model, it is not the real one.
Maybe we will have better technologies in the future, but the digital technology offers a practical way to protect cultural heritage at the moment.

Night after night, she came to make me comfortable in bed, even long after my childhood years. Following her daily habit, she'd bend down and push my long hair out of the way, then kiss my forehead(额头).
I don't remember when it first started annoying(使人恼怒的) me— her hands pushing my hair that way. But it did annoy me, for they felt rough(粗糙的) against my young skin. Finally, one night, I shouted out at her, "Don't do that anymore —your hands are too rough!" She didn't say anything in reply. But never again did my mother close out my day with that expression of her love.
Time after time, with the passing years, my thoughts returned to that night. By then I missed my mother's hands, missed her goodnight kiss on my forehead. Sometimes it seemed very close, sometimes far away. But always it existed, in the back of my mind.
Well, the years have passed, and I'm not a little girl anymore. Mom is in her mid-seventies, and those hands I once thought to be so rough are still doing things for me and my family. She's been our doctor, reaching for the medicine to calm a young girl's stomach or help with the boy's injured knee. She cooks the best fried chicken in the world... washes blue jeans more carefully than I can...
Now, my own children are grown and gone. Mom no longer has Dad, and on special days, I spend the night with her. So it was late on Thanksgiving Eve, as I slept in the bedroom of my youth, a hand run across my face to brush the hair from my forehead. Then a kiss, ever so gently, touched my brow.
In my memory, for the thousandth time, I remembered the night my young voice complained, "Don't do that anymore — your hands are too rough!" Catching Mom's hand in hand, I cried out how sorry I was for that night. I thought she'd remember, as I did. But Mom didn't know what I was talking about. She had forgotten — and forgiven (原谅)— long ago.
That night, I fell asleep with a new understanding for my gentle mother and her caring hands. And the guilt that I had carried around for so long was nowhere to be found.
1.What annoyed me that night?
A.My mother’s rough hands B.My mother’s reply
C.My mother’s kiss D.My mother’s expression of love
2.From the passage, we can learn that .
A.I never missed my mother’s goodnight kiss.
B.I had carried the guilt for many years until my mother kissed me again.
C.My mother always remembers what I said that night.
D.My father is still alive and lives with my mom..
3.My mother does these things for me and my family except _.
A.Cooking meals B.Washing clothes
C.Taking care of the children D.Closing out the day by kissing
4.What is my mom like?
A.guilty B.gentle C.careless D.silent
I’ve been thinking about you and me And how our friendship came to be How long ago I hoped that we
Could be Forever Friends
And how I look back on these days
And smile at all the little ways
We made the hard times seem okay
Like true Forever Friends
At times we’d laugh so hard and then We’d catch out breath and start again Cause’ having fun comes easy when You’re with Forever Friends
Together we’ve shared wonderful sights
Like soft spring days and starlight
When all the world seems still and right
With my Forever Friend
And on those days when rain would fall
And life was not much fun at all
You were always there to take my call
A true Forever Friend
Life’s wandering roads may take us far But if we’re apart let each bright star Remind us how blessed we are
To be Forever Friends
And when the stars shine down we’ll see
Perhaps by fate or destiny
A friendship that was meant to be
You and Me
Forever Friends
