What is the hottest word in China last year ? Baidu gave its list this month.“Shanzhai”（山寨）, a Chinese word, which today means “copying”, is top of the list.
It’s true that“shanzhai”is everywhere. There are“shanzhai”movies, songs, and TV programs. One day when the government officials（官员）were rebuilding a barn（谷仓）, they found a mouse hole in a corner and used smoke to force the mice inside the hole to come out. The 2009 outbreak of influenza H1N1 virus（甲型流感病毒）is also called“swine flu（猪流感）”. It is a new flu virus that was first found in April, 2009. This kind of virus can make people ill and is spreading from person-to-person, causing a growing outbreak of illness first in the United States and Mexico.
