--Kate says she is going to ______ her j...

--Kate says she is going to ______ her job in the hospital and open her own store. Is it serious?

  --I _________ . She never means it.

A. give up; wonder    B. look for; agree    C. keep off; suppose    D. pick up; believe

A 【解析】句意:--凯特说她放弃医院的工作,开一家自己的医院,这事是认真的吗?--我纳闷,她从来没有这个意思。give up放弃;look for寻找;keep off不接近,让开;pick up捡起;第一空根据open her own store可知这里应该是放弃give up,wonder想知道;agree同意;suppose猜想;believe相信。根据She never means it.可知,这里应该用wonder想知道。故选A。
