Would you like to have an electric car? Do you know this kind of quiet and clean cars run on electricity(电)?
In the future, more and more people will have cars, so the cars will be in great need. But the oil won’t keep up with the number of cars on the road. So the price of oil will go up.
Electric cars aren’t perfect just yet. It can take eight hours to charge(充电) a car for only 100 miles of driving. How far that car travels depends on the weather and traffic.
Price is a problem, too. Electric cars cost much more than cars using oil. The good news is that electric-car technology(技术) is getting better. As it does, the prices of this kind of cars are going down.
To charge the car, the US Department of Energy is paying for at least 10,000 charging stations around the country. And it will cost about three dollars for each charge.
Now carmakers are looking for other ways to make the car cheaper. Then more people will use electric cars, and we’ll have a clean and nice world in the future.

Some people have a very poor sense of direction. Unlucky , I am one of them. I have visited a place many times but I may still get lost there the next time.
When I was a little girl, I never dared ask strangers the way. And so I used to walk round in circle and hope that by chance I would get to the place I was going to.
Now , I am no longer too shy to ask people for directions, but I often receive helpless or even wrong information. So I try to avoid giving people wrong directions. If anyone asks me the way somewhere, I would say, "sorry, I am a stranger here."

Nowadays, shopping online becomes a new way of shopping. It is getting more and more popular. Many people like doing some shopping through Internet.
Why is shopping online becoming more and more popular? First, it provides lots of advantages（优势）. There are many goods（商品） on the Internet. People can find anything they want. Today almost everyone knows computers and the Internet. If I ask you “What is the most important in your life?” , maybe you will say “Computers and the Internet.”
The first computer was made in 1946. it was very big but it worked slowly. Today computers are getting smaller and smaller. But they work faster and faster. What can computers do? A writer has said, “People can’t live without computers today.”
