The police do many things for us. They help keep our things and us safe. They help keep cars moving safely. They help people out of trouble when these people are in danger. They catch bad people, like criminals to make our society safe. They take care of people who are hurt. Then they see these people get to a doctor.

The police go around town to see that everything is all right. They get around town in many ways. Some of them walk or go by car. In some big cities, some of the police ride on horses. It is strange to see these animals in the street.

Los Angeles---Thousands of people waited in line on Thursday at Apple Stores, hoping to buy new iPhone.

Cindy Smith, 20, waited in line at Los Angeles Apple Store at 10 pm Wednesday, and wanted to buy her new iPhone before going to work. Stores opened at 7 am. Her old iPhone was broken two months ago, and she waited for the new model. "I can work from it and have fun, she said.
