One possible version: Dear friends, We are graduating from this school now. Most of our textbooks will be useless. What a great waste to throw them away! In my opinion, we’d better leave our textbooks to the students of lower grades, and we should show our love to those who need our help in order to make our school more harmonious. First, recycling the textbooks can save a lot of natural resources, such as wood and water. Also we can help the students from poor families. Second, by doing so, students can form good habits of reading and keep clean and tidy. Third, students can learn to share with others because sharing is also a kind of happiness. What’s more, it’s very helpful for us to form positive attitude of life so that we can make our school life valuable and meaningful. In a word, helping others is helping ourselves. Let’s fill our hearts with love to build a more harmonious campus. In the past, man did not have to think about the protection of his environment. There were not many people on earth, and natural resources seemed to be unlimited.

Today, things are different. The world has become too crowded. We are using up our natural resources too quickly, and at the same time we are polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue like this, human life on earth will not survive (继续生存).

Everyone realizes today that if too many fish are taken from the sea, there will soon be none left. Yet, with modern fishing methods, more and more fish are caught. We know that if too many trees are cut down, forests will disappear and nothing will grow on the land. Yet, we continue to use bigger and more powerful machines to cut down more and more trees.

We realize that if rivers are polluted with waste products from factories, we will die. However, in most countries waste products are still put into rivers or into the sea, and there are few laws to stop this.

We know, too, that if the population of the world continues to rise at the present rate, in a few years, there will not be enough food.

What can we do to solve these problems?

If we eat more vegetables and less meat, we will easily get more food. Land that is used to grow crops can feed five times more people than land where animals are kept.

The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methods of birth control.

Finally, if we educate people to think about the problems, we shall have a better and cleaner living place in the future.

1.. If we use up our natural resources and go on              our environment, human beings will die out.

2. If we catch too many fishes from the sea,               will be left.

3.. The world is becoming too                 , so we should use modern methods of

birth control to reduce the population.

4.. Educate people to think about the problems so that the earth will be better and               .

5.. The passage mainly tells us the importance of protecting the environment and

3.  The first thing you must do is to remember what your dream is. Don’t let it leave your heart. Keep telling yourself what you want every day and then your dream will come true faster. You should know that a big dream is, in fact, made up of many small dreams.

  4. There will be difficulties on the road to your dream. But the biggest difficulty comes from yourself.    5.  Studying instead of watching TV will help you get better exam results, while saving five yuan instead of buying an ice cream means you can buy a new book.

In China, people usually set off firecrackers to celebrate Spring Festival. But this year seemed very quiet. It was really different. A man called Zhang Wei was asked by a reporter in an interview. He said that his friends and he hadn’t set off a single firecracker.

“We all suffered from last month’s smog(雾霾). If we don’t call an end to the firecracker, the environment will get worse and worse during the holiday.” said Zhang Wei. He put up a notice in his community in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province. In the notice, he called on more people to set off fewer firecrackers during this year’s Spring Festival holiday.

Lots of parents agreed with Zhang Wei’s idea. They said that they hated the noise of firecrackers. The noise used to wake up their babies too early. The babies really needed quiet mornings,

More Chinese looked forward to celebrating the holiday in a greener way. They decided not to set off firecrackers. They also decided not to waste food. They said that the new celebrations sounded fashionable.
