If you think you’re too shy and want to be a little braver, try the following. You can make it.

1.  There’s no need to hide it. When they get to know you’re a shy kid, they’ll understand you better. This also helps you feel easier in talks.

2.  When you smile, people think you’re friendly and easy to talk with. Remember that other people have feelings, too, and ①most people will stay away from an angry-looking face.

Take one small step at a time. If you find it hard to start talks, say something nice about people around you.  3. Doesn’t it make you want to keep talking to that person?

Turn your attention elsewhere.  4. Don’t waste(浪费) time worrying about your looks or whether people like you or not. Don’t lose heart .Each time after you say “hi” or smile at someone for the first time, say “I did it!” to yourself.   5.

In your life, there are a lot of people around you. They are your relatives, neighbors, friends or classmates. Sometimes you get along well with them, but sometimes don’t. What can you do when someone hurts you? Most people may be angry or even fight with him. But it’s not a good idea. You’d better forget all this and forgive(宽恕,原谅) him.

Maybe it’s not easy for you to do that, but it’s possible. Please remember: Keep a good mood, and you will keep healthy. Staying angry with others, in fact, means letting others’ mistakes treat yourself unfairly.

How can you forgive others?

First, think of something pleasant and try to get yourself happy.

Second, don’t wait others to say sorry to you. If anyone hurts you, he won’t say sorry to you. He may just want to hurt you or just don’t see things the same way.

Third, try to see things in others’ shoes. You can understand their minds better and make yourself a little happier.

At last, try to know yourself very well. Whose mistakes caused that, yours or others’? If it’s your fault, try to say sorry to them. If it isn’t, smile at the thing.

Do you get angry when your friends sing loudly? Or when your best friend does not wait for you after school?

If you do, you need to control(控制) your feelings and stop getting angry so easily. Getting angry easily can make you lose friends.

Gary Egeberg, an American high school teacher, wrote My Feelings are Just Like Wild Animals to help you control your feelings. It tells teens how to stay cool when bad things happen to them. The book says that getting angry only makes problems worse. It can not make them better. “Getting angry is not a natural way to act”, the book says. It is just a bad habit, like smoking. The book says you can control your anger easily, and all you have to do is to tell yourself not to be angry.

When a baby falls over, it cries only when people are watching it. Like a baby, you can only get angry if you are sure it is the right thing to do.

The book gives many suggestions to help you if you get angry easily. Here are the top three.

①Keep a record. Every time you get angry, write down why you are angry. Look at it later and you will see you get angry too easily.

②Ask your friends to stop talking to you when you get angry. This will teach you not to be angry.

③Do something different. When you get angry, walk away from the problem and go somewhere else. Try to laugh!
